Physics Department Program Educational Goals

To equip the graduates who:

1. To raise individuals who have undergraduate level knowledge in Physics and can use this knowledge effectively in their academic or professional lives,
2. Can transfer their knowledge to the field of application, can use methods, techniques and devices related to their profession, have the skills to plan and execute experimental processes correctly and analyze the obtained data,
3. Have developed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills,
4. Have the awareness of constantly improving themselves by adapting to changing scientific and technological developments,
5. Can cooperate with different disciplines by using their physics knowledge in areas such as energy, health and technology,
6. Have adopted professional ethical principles, benefit society and respect universal values,
7. Can work in the education sector by taking optional pedagogical formation training,
8. Are sensitive to occupational health and safety measures in the work environment and can apply safe working principles in their professional lives.

 

Program Objectives

1. To equip students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required in their profession.
2. To ensure the continuity of the academic staff to enhance the quality of education and research.
3. To continuously improve the infrastructure of educational programs and research laboratories, providing students with a higher quality and more effective education.
4. To enhance the department’s scientific productivity and visibility by encouraging faculty members to increase their number of international publications and citations.
5. To increase interdisciplinary collaboration.
6. To increase the number of students in graduate programs and continuously improve the quality of education and research in these programs.
