Mathematical Physics Reseach Group

The primary goal of this group is to apply various alternative models of Einstein's theory of gravity, by using mathematical techniques such as differential forms, to the standard higher dimensional Kaluza-Klein theories. For the dimensionally reduced field equations obtained in this process, it is also possible to investigate various gravitational solutions, especially black hole solutions, within the space-time fabric.

Also, the calculation of the tensor photon-propagator of photonic crystals, photonic-band gaps and defect-mod dispersion studies on photonic systems are included. For photonic-integrated systems and sensor applications, tensor-Green's functions for complex electromagnetic environments such as plasmonic waveguiding and photonic topologic structures and surface wave propagating in two-dimensional structures are being investigated. In addition, quantum optics of hyperbolic meta-faces for quantum entanglement generation applications are being studied.
